Technical sense
natural human constitution

General Technical Meaning

Fiṭra is the natural constitution disposed to receive religion.

In ʿAllāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī’s Works

In the reviewed al-Manāmāt anthropological passage, ʿAllāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī uses fiṭra for a natural human constitution that may be balanced, deviant, or intermediate. The intermediate case is not mechanically fixed: its path toward felicity or wretchedness varies with education and incoming views. This is an account of disposition and formation, not a complete doctrine of final destiny.
